Hellenic Parliament represented at 152nd Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)

A delegation of the Hellenic Parliament will participate in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and in the meetings of the 12+ Geopolitical Group, to be held in Istanbul from 15 to 19 April 2026. The delegation includes the First Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, and the following Members of Parliament, who are members of the Greek delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU): Dimitrios Avramopoulos, Head of Delegation, Christina Alexopoulou, Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, Athanasios Papathanasis, Panagiotis Doudonis and Katerina Notopoulou.

It is noted that MP Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou will be among five candidates participating in the election process for the new Secretary General of the Union. The process will conclude with a secret ballot in the Governing Council on Sunday, 19 April 2026.
