President of Hellenic Parliament meets with US Ambassador in Greece Geoffrey R. Pyatt

The President of the Hellenic Parliament Constantine Tassoulas received today in the Parliament, the US Ambassador to our country Geoffrey R. Pyatt.

The meeting focused on current issues in the relations between the two countries, as well as on the details of the forthcoming visit by US Senator from New Jersey and Chair of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Robert “Bob” Menendez to our country at the end of August, whose programme also includes a visit to Parliament.

Following the meeting, the US Ambassador was guided around the “Beholding Liberty! At the Hellenic Parliament, two centuries later” exhibition accompanied by the President of the Parliament. This exhibition is part of the events celebrating the 200th anniversary since the Greek Revolution and is hosted in the two most significant spaces of the Parliament Building, i.e. the colonnaded lobby (“Peristylio”) of the Plenary Hall and the “Eleftherios Venizelos” Hall, former Trophy and “Aides-de-Camp” room.
