Meeting of First Vice-President of Hellenic Parliament, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, and Chair of Greece–Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Ioannis Giorgos, with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria

The First Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, and the Chair of the Greece–Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Ioannis Giorgos, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Mr Sofiane Chaib, in the context of his visit to Athens for the Joint Interministerial Committee, held on 19–20 January.

Emphasizsng the particular importance of deepening relations between the two countries and the contribution of parliamentary diplomacy thereto, Mr Plakiotakis expressed the view that contacts between Greece and Algeria contribute to the consolidation of peace, security, and stability, both in the neighbourhood of the two countries and more broadly.
