President of Hellenic Parliament meets with Ambassador of Republic of Korea

The President of the Hellenic Parliament met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr Ju-Seong Lim. Welcoming Mr Lim to the Greek Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis noted that “despite the geographical distance, our countries are linked by strong bonds of friendship forged through our shared struggles for freedom, democracy, and peace.” He also referred to Greece’s participation in the Korean War between 1950 and 1953, as well as to the erection of a monument to the veterans of the Korean War in Crete, which preserves historical memory and the strong ties between the two peoples.
