Meeting of1st Vice President of Hellenic Parliament with Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Moldova

The excellent relations between Greece and Moldova, which culminated with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the European Affairs Committees of their Parliaments last April, were reaffirmed at today's meeting between the 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Mrs Cristina Gherasimov.   

Referring to the positive results for Moldova of the last European Council, which marked the opening of the accession negotiations, the Vice-President of the Parliament stressed the readiness of the Hellenic Parliament to contribute with its experience, to the transfer of expertise to the Parliament of Moldova, regarding the integration of the European acquis.
