First Vice-President of Hellenic Parliament meets with Ambassador of Algeria

The Ambassador of Algeria to Greece, Ms Zaina Behabouche, was received at the Hellenic Parliament by the First Vice-President, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis. During the meeting, the strong and longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries were reaffirmed, which were further strengthened following the relaunch of bilateral cooperation in 2020.

Mr. G. Plakiotakis also pointed out that the recent political consultations between the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Athens highlighted the strategic importance of the Mediterranean for Greece and the European Union, with an emphasis on energy security, the management of migration flows, and regional stability, as well as our country’s steadfast support for the relevant European initiatives.
