President of Hellenic Parliament meets Speaker of Parliament of Republic of Albania Niko Peleshi

The definitive resolution of the property status of the Greek minority's assets, as well as respect for their national identity were set by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, to the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, Mr Niko Peleshi, as fundamental prerequisites for Greece to give the "green light" to the neighbouring country's EU accession path.

From the Greek parliamentary side, the meeting was attended by the First Vice-President, Mr Giannis Plakiotakis, and the Chair of the Greece-Albania Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Efstathios Konstantinidis. The Secretary General of the Parliament, Mr Vasileios Bagiokos, and the Diplomatic Advisor to the Speaker, Mr Constantine Economides, were also present.

The Albanian Speaker of Parliament was accompanied by members of the Albania-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group, MPs Mr Pirro Dhima, Mr Ivi Kaso, Mr Vangjel Dule, and Mr Llir Penjavinji. The Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development of Albania, Ms Anila Denaj, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Greece, Ms Luela Hajdaraga, were also in attendance.
