President of Parliament meets with Ambassador of Egypt

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, met today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr Omar Amer Youssef.

The President of the Parliament pointed out that “Egypt is a trusted partner for the European Union and Greece and plays an important geostrategic role in the Mediterranean, the Near East, and Africa.” “I would like to emphasise,” continued Mr N. Kaklamanis, “our strong ties and upgraded relations with Egypt through political and economic initiatives,” adding: “It is of utmost importance to maintain our strong partnership and cooperation on migration issues, given the current geopolitical developments in our wider region.”
