Anniversary Session for National Day of Remembrance of Genocide of Greeks of Asia Minor and International Day of Democracy

With respect, a strong sense of national consciousness and a deep sense of responsibility towards the history of our Homeland, the Plenary of the Hellenic Parliament commemorated 14 September, a day established by a unanimous decision of the Hellenic Parliament as the National Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Greeks of Asia Minor by the Turkish state. The commemoration concluded with a minute of silence. This was followed by a commemorative reference to the International Day of Democracy.
