Meeting of Chair of Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs with Ambassador of Japan

The Chair of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Parliament Mrs Dora Bakoyannis held a meeting with the new Ambassador of Japan to Greece Mr Koichi ITO, on Wednesday 3rd July 2024, during which the excellent level of bilateral political relations between the two countries was reaffirmed.

The Japanese Ambassador informed Mrs Bakoyannis on the current internal situation in Japan, as it has developed after the pandemic, while presenting his country's foreign relations both in the Pacific region and with NATO. He also made particular reference to the recent visit of Princess Kako last May, which received wide coverage in the Japanese media.
