Greece-Cuba Friendship Group meets with Ambassador of Cuba to Greece

An informational meeting was held today at the Hellenic Parliament between the Chair of the Greece–Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Georgios Amyras, the Group’s member, Ms Meropi Tzoufi, and the Ambassador of Cuba to Greece, Mr Aramis Fuente Hernández. The Sixth Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Giorgos Lambroulis, also attended the meeting.

During the discussion, the Greek side had the opportunity to be briefed on the current situation in Cuba. Among other matters, and on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, the Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Amyras, underscored Greece’s firm commitment to the rules of international law, as reflected in its longstanding support for lifting the economic embargo on Cuba.
