Chair of Greece-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group at 1st International Italophone Conference

In his speech at the 1st International Italophone Conference held on 18 November in Rome, the Chair of the Greece-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Vasileios-Nikolaos Ypsilantis, highlighted the ongoing dialogue and interaction between the Greek and Italian languages as a primary medium for expressing the cultures and values of both countries.

The conference, co-organised by the Italian and Swiss Ministries of Foreign Affairs with the aim of establishing the Italophone Community, hosted speeches by the Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, as well as Foreign and Diaspora Ministers from Western Balkan and neighbouring countries to Italy such as Slovenia, Croatia, and Romania. On behalf of the Greek Government, the speech was delivered by Ambassador Katerina Koika, Head of the Directorate-General of Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
