Meeting of Greece-Poland Parliamentary Friendship Group with members of Poland-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group

The Chairwoman of the Greece-Poland Parliamentary Friendship Group Olga Kefalogianni, the Deputy Chair Emmanouil-Christoforos Boutsikakis and the member Vasilios Vasileiadis met today with the Chairman of the Poland-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group Daniel Milewski and the Deputy Chair Tomasz Szymański. MP Tomasz Kostuś and the President of the Agia Marina Foundation Patryk Panasiuk also participated. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Greece Artur Lompart.

During the meeting, Mrs Kefalogianni referred to the essential relationship between the two countries, as well as the need to promote cooperation, especially in the framework of the EU. We are up against complex challenges, said the MP, with the Russian invasion in Ukraine being the most predominant one. She also pointed out that support towards the Ukrainian people is a priority for both countries, guided by solidairity and humanity. 

The Chairman of the Poland-Greece Friendship Group Daniel Milewski, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the support that Greece has shown towards the Ukrainian people and referred to the support that Poland has provided to its neighbouring country. Lastly, he invited the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group to attend this evening's concert in support of the Ukrainian, as well as to visit his country.
