Chair of Greece-Norway Parliamentary Friendship Group meets with Norwegian Ambassador to Athens

The Chair of the Greece-Norway Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr Georgios Vrettakos, received the Norwegian Ambassador to Athens, Ms Harriet E. Berg, today at the Hellenic Parliament.

Mr Vrettakos highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between Greece and Norway and focused on the opportunities for cooperation emerging in the fields of energy and green development, shipping and maritime policy—with an emphasis on strengthening the protection of maritime areas and maritime transport—as well as in tourism and trade. In particular, he referred to the need for cooperation based on regional and energy security, especially in light of the broader geopolitical context.
