Vice-President of Hellenic Parliament meets with Qatar's Minister of State - I. Plakiotakis: "Greece in solidarity with Gulf States"

The Minister of State of Qatar, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, was welcomed today at the Hellenic Parliament by the First Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis.

Mr Plakiotakis made special reference to the strong and close ties of friendship and cooperation between Greece and Qatar, as well as to the opportunities emerging in various sectors. He noted that “in an environment of global geopolitical instability and uncertainty, Greece constitutes a safe destination where significant investments can be promoted.”

The Vice-President of the Parliament also stressed that “Greece, from the very first moment of the crisis in the Middle East, expressed its solidarity with the Gulf states and especially, of course, with Qatar,” adding that “the security and prosperity of Qatar constitute not only an important factor in the wider Gulf region, but also a cornerstone of global security, peace, and stability in the broader region.”
