Meeting of Greece-Thailand Friendship Group with Ambassador of Thailand to Greece

The excellent bilateral relations between Greece and Thailand were emphasised by the Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Mrs Tsampika Iatridi, who chaired today's meeting with the Ambassador of Thailand to Athens Mr Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya. Mrs Iatridi also stressed that despite the geographical distance between the two countries, the level of their relations, which are now well into their 67th year, is reflected in the mutual support on issues of candidature for positions in international organisations.

The discussion, which was attended by the Secretary of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Ioannis Giorgos, explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in selected areas such as education, technology, natural disaster management, maritime transport, tourism and culture.
