Visit of Parliamentary Delegation to Brussels

A parliamentary delegation, headed by the First Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament and Chair of the Committee on European Affairs, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, visited Brussels from 10 to 12 November.

The 20-member delegation, which held a series of meetings with representatives of the European Commission and Members of the European Parliament, was meticulously briefed on current developments concerning European defence and security, migration, enlargement policy, European competitiveness, the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the new Multiannual Financial Framework of the EU, climate and energy policy, as well as the EU’s trade relations, sustainable transport, tourism, agricultural and fisheries policy, and ocean protection.

The delegation also had the opportunity to exchange views on matters of Greek interest relating to these areas. The visit took place following an invitation from the European Commission to the parliamentary Committee on European Affairs.
