Chairman of Greece-France Parliamentary Group and counterpart from French Senate hold virtual meeting
The Chairman of the Greece-France Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Christodoulos Stefanadis met virtually with his counterpart in the French Senate, Mr. Didier Marie.
During their discussion, the two chairmen highlighted their willingness to hold regular meetings, reaffirming the historic links of friendship between the two countries and exchanged views and information on current affairs.
In particular they discussed the issue of addressing the pandemic, the progress made so far in both Greece and France on the vaccination front and the Greek Prime Minister's proposal for an EU vaccination certificate.
Mr. Stefanadis briefed his counterpart on the prospect of exploratory talks between Greece and Turkey and thanked the French government for always supporting Greece, especially during the period of systematic Turkish provocations in the Eastern Aegean and the Cypriot EEZ.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution of 1821, a Louvre Museum Exhibition (April 2021) that will be organized in cooperation with the National Gallery, was also mentioned.
