MP Dimitris Kairidis at launch of parliamentary dimension of Polish Presidency of EU Council

The launch of the parliamentary dimension of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council was launched by the Conference of Chairpersons of the European Affairs Committees of the EU Member States (COSAC), which took place in Warsaw on 26 and 27 January. The Hellenic Parliament was represented by MP Dimitris Kairidis, who during his intervention, and in response to an earlier statement by the representative of North Macedonia, who referred to his country by omitting the geographical designation, stressed that "agreements should be respected in all circumstances and by all sides". "The basic condition for the accession of North Macedonia to the EU, which Greece firmly supports, as well as all the countries of the Western Balkans, is respect for international treaties and agreements," Mr. Kairidis made clear.
