Visit of delegation of House of Representatives of Japan to Hellenic Parliament

The Chair of the Japan–Greece Friendship Group of the House of Representatives of Japan, Mr. Kono Taro, who headed a three-member parliamentary delegation, was received at the Hellenic Parliament by the Chair Mr. Georgios Stylios and the members of the Greece–Japan Friendship Group.

Expressing his admiration for the remarkable economic and technological progress achieved by Japan after World War II, Mr Stylios referred to the symbolism of Japan’s selection as the Honoured Country at the Thessaloniki International Fair, both because of the international reach of the TIF as an event and because of the opportunity it provides to highlight Greece’s investment-friendly character, thus sending the message that our country can serve as a reliable economic and investment destination. This was also confirmed by Greece’s upgrade by a Japanese credit rating agency just one month ago.
