Chair of Greece-Moldova Friendship Group visits Chisinau, on occasion of Moldovan Parliament Europe Day celebration

The Chair of the Greece-Moldova Parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Vassileios Giogiakas, visited the Parliament of Moldova, invited by his counterpart, the Chair of the corresponding Friendship Group of the Parliament of Moldova, Mrs Larisa Novac, in order to participate in the celebrations of the 9th of May for "Europe Day".  

During his brief intervention, in the context of the special session of the Moldovan Parliament on the theme: "Europe Day 2024. Europe is you! Moldova's accession to the EU", Mr Giogiakas, referring to Greece's firm support to Moldova's European course, made a special mention to the period of the Greek Presidency of the European Council in 2014, during which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Moldova, for convergence towards the EU.
