Greece-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group meets with new Ambassador of Georgia to Greece

The Chairperson of Greece-Georgia Friendship Group Mrs Asimina Skondra, expressed her expectation for the normalisation of the situation in Georgia, within the framework of democratic institutions, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia to Athens Mr Levan Beridze.

Mrs Skondra underlined the long-standing relations between the two countries, which are based on strong historical, cultural and religious ties, unbroken by time, as they are constantly strengthened by the diaspora, with Greeks in Georgia and the increasing number of Georgians in Greece in recent years.
