Official visit by Portugal-Greece Friendship Group delegation

A three-member delegation of the Friendship Group with Greece of the Parliament of Portugal paid a two-day official visit to Athens, at the invitation of Mr Georgios Stamatis, Chair of the Greece–Portugal Parliamentary Friendship Group.

In his remarks, Mr G. Stamatis praised the building of relations based on solid foundations of mutual cooperation, particularly following the economic crisis, which both countries experienced intensely and overcame, focusing on the recent intensification of contacts both at the highest political level and at parliamentary level, with the activation of the Friendship Groups and the parliamentary mechanism supporting them.
