Members of Greece-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group meet with Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Athens

Today, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Athens paid a courtesy call on a Hellenic Parliament delegation.

The Greek delegation from the Greece-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship group consisted of Georgios Arvanitidis, Secretary of the Friendship Group and Athanasios Lioupis, member of the Friendship Group. They both congratulated Ambassador Otabek Akbarov for assuming his duties and expressed their satisfaction about the proposed expansion of cooperation between the two countries. 

In particular, proposals were made to develop entrepreneurship and commercial exchanges and to upgrade relations in the fields of culture, the environment, energy and tourism. Great interest was also expressed to exchange views and for the Greek side to offer know-how on issues pertaining to the legislative process.

Both sides agreed on the need to soon hold teleconferences and exchanges of visits at parliamentary level.
