Bureau of Greece-Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group meets with Ambassador of Czech Republic to Athens

The Chair and Deputy Chair of the Greece-Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group Marios Salmas and Ioannis Melas met today at the Hellenic Parliament with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Greece Jakub Karfik.

During the meeting the mutual desire to strengthen cooperation between the two countries was highlighted, both in the field of investments and trade, as well as in the field of culture. 

 In light of the Czech Republic assuming the Presidency of the EU Council on the 1st of July 2022, issues of European current affairs were also discussed, while the geopolitical significance of countries of the Western Balkans becoming EU members was pointed out.
