Participation of Parliamentary Delegation in EU Tax Symposium 2026

The proceedings of the EU Tax Symposium 2026, which took place at the European Parliament in Brussels, were attended by MPs Fontas Baraliakos and Paris Koukoulopoulos, both members of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. The Conference, co-organised by the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC) and the European Commission (DG TAXUD), focused on “The future of taxation: inequality and growth in the global economy”. Among the guest speakers were Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences, Professors Joseph Stiglitz and Philippe Aghion, as well as OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and European Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra.
