Born in Piraeus on 19.4.1952 and grew up in Keratsini. Her parents' origin is the village Neraida, Trikala.

Married and mother of two children.

Architect - Urban Planner.

Postgraduate studies at the University of Rome and at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.

She was elected MP on January 25, 2015.

Political/Social Activities

Board member of the Panhellenic Association of Architects for the period 1985-1986.
Member of the Supreme Disciplinary Council of Technical Chamber of Greece. Member of "Friends of PAK Italy", representing Italy in PASOK establishment, left on 1975.
Founding member and President of the Association of Women St. George Keratsiniou.
Head of the Municipal Movement "Human City" and Mayor candidate in Keratsini. City Councillor from 1990 to 2000. Founding member of the "Initiative for the unity of the Left" and a founding member of SYRIZA. Member of "Movement of Active Citizens". Candidate for the Piraeus Prefecture with Manolis Glezos as head candidate for the Athens-Piraeus Supra-Prefecture and Prefectural Councillor from 2002 to 2010. Candidate with the "Women for another Europe " in the European elections 2004. Member of Political Secretariat of SYRIZA. Candidate Member of Parliament with SYRIZA in 2009 and 2012.
As an active citizen led and took part in the struggles of Piraeus citizens, for the cancellation of the sale of the Marina Zea of Piraeus, for the undertaking the responsibility of large sites of the area by the Athens-Piraeus Supra-Prefecture, for the protection of water resources, but also for creation of public open green spaces, sport and culture centers against the privatizations plans in areas such as the land of CHROPEI, the land of the former Fertilizer factory, the Egaleo old refugee houses and the archaeological sites of Piraeus.
