Constitutions and Standing Orders

The Library keeps in its collections:
  • The Constitutions of the Greek State which have been voted since 1844,
  • The Ionian Islands’ Constitutions voted during the 19th century until their union with Greece (1864,
  • The Standing Orders of the Parliament and Senate,
  • Greek constitutional texts of the 18th to the 20th century.

The Library has digitized the constitutional texts of the period from the end of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th century which are currently kept in the Special Collections. Specifically, in digital form can be accessed the following:
The digitization project of the Library is still ongoing and the Digital Library is constantly updated.

The current Constitution of Greece and the Standing Orders of the Parliament are available via the Hellenic Parliament’s website.
