Meeting of Greece-India Parliamentary Friendship Group with Indian Ambassador to Athens

The upgrading of bilateral relations to a strategic level, following the adoption of Memoranda of Understanding between Greece and India, was the focus of a meeting in Parliament between the Chair of the India-Greece Friendship Group, Mrs Maria Antoniou, and its members, with the Indian Ambassador Mr Rudrendra Tandon, who highlighted recent high-level reciprocal visits.

Mrs Maria Antoniou describing Greece and India as pillars of stability and security in the Mediterranean and Indo-Pacific, briefly outlined the potential for further strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, technology, energy, transport and infrastructure through the India-Europe interconnectivity offered by the "India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor" (IMEC).
