- She was born on June 30, 1954 in Athens. Since 1979 she has been living in Amaliada, Ilia Prefecture.

- She is married to Vasilis Saltaris, teacher of Greek literature, and has two daughters.

Since 1980 she has worked as a freelance Potter. Since 1991 she has delivered ceramics, mixed materials, crafts and sculptural ceramics lessons to adults, teenagers and children, in Ministry of Culture’s Arts Workshops Network in the cities of Patra and Amaliada, as well as in Cultural Centers of Gastouni and Vartholomio
municipalities in Ilia Prefecture, the Cultural Development Enterprise in the Municipality of Patras (DEPAP), Primary and Secondary Education, Olympic Education and Ancient Greek Civilizations Programs. She has also taught vulnerable social groups, disabled children and adults at the Center for Training and Social Support for People with Disabilities (KEKYKAMEA) in Ilia Prefecture as well as in Vocational Training Centers, Environmental Education Centers and the International Film Festival of Olympia for children and young people.
She has taught History of Art and Traditional Folk Civilization at the Education Center of the Institute of Adult Life Long Education (IDEKE), Ministry of Education. She has conducted and participated in individual and group exhibitions in Greece and Italy. Her unique pottery items are inspired by music (musical instruments from different cultures) and masks, cultural symbols, figurines, etc. She has organized numerous exhibitions in provincial cities where her students have displayed their work.
- She is a graduate of the Open University of Patras (Greek Civilization) and the Department of Ceramics, IEK of Volos.
She was first elected as an MP in the national elections on May 6, 2012 and the runoff elections on June 17 in the prefecture of Ilia.
She actively took part in the trade union movement and joined the Communist Party in 1974. She was a party member and trade unionist.
From 1981 to 1989 she was the President of the Women’s Association of Amaliada and had a strong presence in the city’s political and cultural life and the Women’s Emancipation Movement. From 1994 to 1997 she was the Board Secretary of the Music School in Amaliada.
She has also been a member of the Boards of the Folklore Museum, Center for Drug Addiction (“Prevention”) and several Parents and Carers Associations. She has also been a member of the Ilia Prefectural Committee of the "Synaspismos" Party since its establishment and a candidate in municipal, parliamentary (2001, 2004) and regional (2010) elections. She was the leader of the "I'm not paying" movement in the City of Elida in Ilia Prefecture. She is a member of the Pan-Hellenic Union of Greek Ceramists and Potters (PECA) and a member of the World Craft Council of UNESCO.
