Parliamentary Activities

Elected MP (ND) for Magnesia in the general elections of 1993, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009. Member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade. Former member of the Parliamentary Convention for Black Sea Economic Co-operation (PABSEC).

Political/Social Activities

Designed public and private building projects in Athens (1973-1977). Involved in various private technical projects and manager of construction companies since 1977. Chairman of the ND Parliamentary Work Groups on Agriculture and Industry, and on Energy and Technology, and vice-Chairman of his party’s Parliamentary Work Group on Transport. Head of the ND Agricultural Development Section (April 2000-June 2001). Head of the ND Development Section (Industry, Energy, Technology, Trade) ND party officer responsible for the Public Enterprise for with Movable Assets (DEKA) and the Public Debt (ODDHX), TAXIS, the Economics Ministry Information Centre (KEPYO), the Taxation System, and relations with the EU.
