The Speaker’s Diplomatic Advisor works with the General Directorate for International Relations and Communication and:
- Briefs the Speaker on all issues touching on the Parliament’s international relations as well as relevant protocol obligations that arise from such relations;
- Briefs parliamentarians on all of the above and offers assistance to parliamentary delegations both at home and abroad.
- Offers advice to the General Directorate for International Relations and Communication and the rest of the Parliament’s departments on issues within its scope;
Acts as the Parliament’s link with the ministry of Foreign Affairs, which it contacts as to mutually exchange information and provide new data and updates.
